Happy New Year Everyone!

It's a little late, but Happy New Year! I hope all of my fab readers had a great holiday. What is everyone's New Year Resolution? I made two resolutions: one is to spend more time with family and the second one is to get my house together (my house is finally built and I am moved in, but everything is scattered and still in boxes). I've been working so much, that I have negelected a few things in my life.

My New Years was wonderful, my boyfriend, Tristian, proposed to me. I am so happy..we are planning a June wedding. Wow, I only have six months to plan it all.

How Are You In French

To say how are you in French you would say comment ca va?

Night Attire Unraveling

Okay..I know another post about clothes, really? Well yes, but this is Victoria Secrets and we all know how wonderful their things are. I was looking for sleepwear, because I noticed a trend in my night atire. Thread unraveling, seams falling apart, holes appearing out of nowhere. Then it occured to me..women will make sure they look good in public, but their night wear is sorely lacking in attention. Hmm, why do we neglect this part of our wardrobe? Don't we deserve to look and feel sexy in bed? I say yes and I'm sure my boyfriend will be happy I did.
So, here is what I bought today.

Very Berry Almond Whole Wheat Crepes

I love staying fit and cooking healthy meals. I am always on the look out for healthy recipes, so I found this wonderful crepe recipe from The Singing Runner Blog. It has been too long since I've made crepes, but I was inspired to try this one. What a wonderful breakfast it was!

Ingredients (makes 6-8 crepes):
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 T all purpose flour
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 egg
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 T sugar (if desired)
  • 2 cups of assorted frozen or fresh fruit (I used frozen blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries)
  • 1 handful crushed almonds

Directions:

1) Mix together flour, milk, egg, salt, and sugar in a small bowl.
2) In a sauce pan over medium heat add berries and heat until warm and syrup from fruit is thick.
3) Heat up and lightly grease a large frying pan or skillet.
4) Add 2-4 table spoons batter to the pan and remove from heat.
5) Turn pan to spread batter out and make into a thin layer. Cook on one side.
6) Remove from heat and repeat.
7) Add fruit and crushed almonds to center of crepe and roll up!
